Stories
At FoodAbility we’re all about connecting and sharing real stories from real people. This is your go-to spot for some inspiration, laughter, and those “aha” moments from individuals with disabilities and those without. Whether you’re looking for some advice, want to share your own tale, or just want to get a peek into someone else’s world, you’re in the right place. So, grab a cup of coffee, make yourself comfy, and join us in this friendly space.
Meet Derek
I am writing this as an employer committed to an inclusive workplace, hiring Derek, a young man with an engaging smile, quiet and respectful. He seemed like he would fit right in. However, after a short while, it became apparent that Derek was not as content or thriving as we had hoped. He struggled to find his place within the team, and this was affecting his performance and overall well-being. We reached a crucial point where letting Derek go seemed like the only viable option, but then something special happened that changed everything.
Organizations We Work With
Creating an inclusive workplace culture isn’t just a box-ticking exercise; it’s a vital component of building a successful, equitable business. By collaborating with disability-serving agencies, together, we can take meaningful strides in fostering inclusivity and diversity that goes beyond mere compliance. Our partnerships are expanding across Canada to include all provinces. FPSC will make the introductions and support you every step of the way!
